ELGIN LEISURE BREAKS • 2025 13 DO YOUR BIT… GET INVOLVED… ELGIN EVENINGS Giving back to the local community is hugely important to the Elgin Hotel as a business. We believe that it’s our duty to give a little back – which is why we host Elgin Evenings throughout the year. These special evenings add a little bit of extra magic to our midweek breaks whilst also raising money for worthy causes in our local area – all with your help! Having raised over £6,000 for The Boathouse Youth in 2024, we’ll be supporting the charity again this year. We know that we speak on behalf of Laurance, the charity’s founder, when we say a big THANK YOU for your continued support – it really does mean the world. To learn more about this fantastic charity, visit their website: www.thebhy.co.uk The Boathouse Youth The Boathouse Youth works with children and young people between the ages of five and 17 from socio-economically deprived communities across Blackpool. They also run a specialist programme for children with additional needs and disabilities. Now, more than ever, the charity needs ongoing support to operate. Their aim is to create a safe space to improve mental wellbeing, promote positive behaviours, support educational growth and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Breaking the cycle of deprivation is key to enabling these young people to lead their best lives. Our Elgin Evenings are designed to be full of fun – and a few surprises! Each Elgin Evening has a fantastic theme and our bars team will pull out all of the stops with fancy dress and fabulous decorations. Participation in fancy dress is not obligatory – but is very much encouraged, and there’ll be a prize for the best dressed on each Elgin Evening!
